A Map a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

Today, I woke up and decided that I had some things to take care of, so I took a little bit of PTO. It was nice to have a little bit of a break from the day to day. I’ll get back at it tomorrow.

Among the things I did today, conferences at school, worked in the garage, talked with my brother, dinner at Applebee’s with the wife, enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather with the windows open, and I drew a map for the Baenrahl world setting.

I’m pretty happy with this map. I hand drew it, inked it, scanned it, and then I started deleting things and adding other things, because that’s what computers are for.  Here’s a shrunken and truncated bit of the map that will, in some form or another, end up over at my blogger site. That probably won’t happen for a couple weeks, being as I only publish there on Sunday and I have the next couple posts already planned out and partially written.

In other news, I’ve decided to give up fast food and soda. I’ve done it in the past with good success. These are the two biggest obstacles I’m fighting right now, well, that and sheer complacency. Enough is enough, it’s definitely time to take some sort of action with regard to my weight and my health. By announcing it here for the world to see I hope to hold myself accountable. If the weather will hold I might even work in walking the dog and riding my bike to get some exercise.
