Here is as accurate list of the vehicles I’ve owned as I can recall. I’ll add pictures of each as I find them and get them scanned. It’s not a fancy list, it’s just that I seem to have owned a lot of cars in those early years.
- 1980 Pontiac Sunbird Hatchback – My first car. I paid half and my folks paid for half. Turned out to be a bad choice. Lot’s of trouble but it had a great stereo.
- 1973 Pontiac LeMans – Originally owned by my mother who sold it to my Grandma Laura who sold it to me.
- 1986 Chevrolet Sprint – bought new with my graduation money. Lasted 8-days before I totaled it.
- 1980 AMC Spirit – sold to my brother when I moved to Florida
- 1976 Chevy Nova – bought in Florida, found by my grandma Betty
- 1978 MGB – bought in Florida, brought it back to Michigan, wrecked by a Pontiac T-1000 traveling in the wrong lane.
- 1973 Dodge Charger
- 1984 Bertone X1/9
- 1977 Volkswagon Scirocco
- 1980 Pontiac Sunbird Coupe
- 1992 Chevrolet S-10 – new
- 1998 Chevrolet Lumina APV – Purchased from Auto Nation when I hooked up with my second wife and had 4 kids to haul around… another troubled purchase that ended up being repossessed after two brake jobs, a new transmission, and two head gaskets. Make the payment or make the repairs, guess which we did.
- 1988 Ford Taurus SHO – basically given to us by my sisters then boyfriend. Damn fun car. Let it go when the gearbox went.
- 1992 Buick Century Wagon – basically given to us by my friend, Joel. Blue with genuine false-wood paneling. An American classic.
- 2003 Hyundai Elantra – The black one. Bought new but had to give it back to the bank when things got bad during the divorce. Didn’t need two cars, couldn’t sell it, and just couldn’t make two car payments.
- 2004 Hyundai Elantra – The silver one. Bought for Tasha, but stayed with me after the divorce. Now she’s driving it again. We’re a one care family.
- 2006 Triumph America – My first motorcycle. This is what you spend your money on when you’re getting divorced and laid-off in the same summer.1982 Pontiac T1000
- 2010 Chevrolet Camaro – I’m 42, my kids are grown, and I deserve something nice. Enough said.
- 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LT – Tired of having just one car, so we bought a second.
Ford Tempo – given to us by mom
1986 Chevrolet Cavalier – bought from Uncle Dave
Nice list. I thought I’d take up a bunch of space on your page with a list of the cars I’ve owned. Ready? Here goes:
1. 1984 Buick Skyhawk
2. 1986 Honda Civic DX hatchback
3. 1996 Honda Civic hatchback
…
Uh, that’s it. Oh well.
